This is a GREAT find! Don't let the "truck stop" throw you off - it's actually a family-run, local cafe that happens to have a big parking lot for trucks and gas pumps. Went there for the 1st time based on Yelp reviews on a trip to eastern Oregon and actually drove right past it because there were no big rigs in the parking lot. You'll get great, homecooked food at a very reasonable price. Their menu is large and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a cute, clean cafe with friendly service. I had a prime rib dip sandwich (delish!) with fries, a homemade cup of soup, a soft drink and a slice of their yummy homemade pie (huckleberry - they have around 12-15 flavors) for just over 15 bucks. My wife had their roast beef dinner with a baked potato, veggies, soup and a drink for about 10. Don't miss this great little find if you are in the area or passing through on I-84!!!

Get your gas in LA Grande or Baker City but you must make an extra stop here to eat. 16oz. ham w/eggs, 1" thick home made toast and sausage gravy on the large portion hash browns for $10.75!!! Best breakfast ever!

Not much to look at on the outside and most would drive right past it but had a pretty good meal that was reasonably priced and make sure you get a slice of pie.

Vicki, you and your employees at the cafe are the best. Wonderful homestyle food cooked to perfection. Your one of those kind of Ma & Pop restaurant that everyone needs to experence. Bone in Ham steak Bkfst with an extra order of whole wheat toast to go made for an excellent meal and ham sandwiches to last the whole day. Us truck drivers need good healthy food and you provide %100 Thanks for the food and laughter.

Tasty food, reasonable prices, good portion sizes. And best of all, a big & tasty pie selection! We will stop here whenever we are passing through.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner on route south from Washington. What a pleasant surprise. We walked in and were greeted with a warm, informally, relaxed homelike setting. The waitstaff and the food was delicious, with very hardy portions! A definite repeat for when we pass through next time. Absolutely not your run-of-the mill truck stop, but needless to say, seemed popular as there were quite a few trucks in the large parking area.

First impression walking in the door was how wonderful it smelled. Second was how clean and neat everything was. Our server was very friendly and quick. I ordered the taco omelette. It came with perfectly cooked hash-browns. The omelette itself was very yummy with the homemade salsa. My boyfriend order the smoked pork chop and baked potato. The chop was very good! I would recommend this little spot for a great meal.

I always look forward to rolling through North Powder. Hard to find GOOD food on the road. This is a great, small cozy stop with truck parking. Fast friendly small town service, good food, good price. Always a good pot of soup and a fantastic cabinet full of pies.
